Duravit is a company with a centuries-old tradition. It was founded by Georg Friederich Horn, who in 1817 built a stoneware factory in Hornberg in the Black Forest for the manufacture of tableware. The expansion of the product range to include sanitary ware was the key to the company's later success. From 1950 onwards, the stoneware production was replaced by porcelain, and in 1960 a new name made its way into the sanitary world: Duravit. Today, Duravit AG is an international group with 10 production sites and more than 5,000 employees worldwide.
